Many people do not realize they are not getting the quality of sleep they need to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Snoring is not just an annoying habit, it can be a symptom of a much larger health problem. With offices in both Halifax and Dartmouth, the team work together with patients and their doctors to help you determine the seriousness of your snoring and sleeping problems, provide you with a diagnosis and prescribe a treatment plan that could help put you on the road to recovery.

We use the WatchPAT, a device that fits over a wrist like a glove, for our in-home sleep studies. You take the machine home with you, return it to us the next day, and we determine the results from the data stored in its computer. There is no overnight stay or invasive tests. Not only is this device accurate but it tends to be more comfortable than other sleep study devices, allowing you to get a better night's sleep. We are also experts in working with CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) therapy to treat those with sleep disordered breathing.

Follow up is a crucial element of our treatment plan. Not only do we closely follow your progress and comfort with the machines, especially in the first month, but we also offer various support programs for our patients. Every other month we discuss snoring, Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) and CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) therapy in a public setting. We have guest speakers, usually health professionals, who discuss and answer questions regarding these issues. All those with questions about snoring, OSA and CPAP are welcome. It is a casual affair with snacks and refreshments.

We are committed to helping our patients sleep better, improve their health and to make sure they are comfortable with the solutions.
