CPAP Use and Nasal Congestion

Regular CPAP users frequently experience nasal congestion more so that non-users. Part of the reason lies with the exposure to higher than normal atmospheric pressures for hours at a time. While this higher pressure is the key to resolving airway collapse and reducing sleep apnea, it can definitely leave your nose and nasal linings somewhat dry and swollen, even with use of humidity.

At the Snore Shop, we offer various saline solutions for the control of nasal congestion, sinusitis and allergic nasal symptoms. The NeilMed delivery systems offer pH balanced salt solutions that help restore moisture in the nose. The high volumes help irrigate the nasal sinuses and wash out irritants such as dust and pollens that might irritate nasal linings.

Sinus cones are indwelling nasal dilators that keep the nasal passages from collapsing, an excellent way to keep breathing through the night.  Made of a hypoallergenic, non-latex composite, this comfortable product is durable and comes in all sizes.

All products are available at all locations in the Metro Halifax region.
