The ARES sleep test device data is downloaded and sent for validation and interpretation back to Watermark Medical. Those results are then returned in both a graphical form and with a written report. This example shows a case of severe sleep apnea. The index figures of note here include the Apnea-Hypopnea Index (AHI) and the Respiratory Disturbance Index (RDI) which should both be fewer than 5 obstructive events per hour. It also shows oxygen levels during obstructive events, sleeping position, sleep brainwave activities (including REM sleep), snoring volume and heart rate values. This data allows your clinician to make important decisions about your breathing during sleep.
